I think western society should be more aware of colorism in far and south east Asian countries because it is just as problematic as racism. BB cream should be a choice, not a necessity. Plastic surgery shouldn’t be forced upon teenagers by parents just because they don’t want their children to appear as if they’ve been born into a poverty-stricken family because dark skin is a sign of “lower status”. Tan skin is not “dirty”. Pale skin is not “pure”. Educate yourself.
